Dubai is a popular destination for families from all over the world and thankfully for parents, the city has more than enough kids activities available to keep your children happy and entertained.
Since Children’s City first opened in 2002, it has rapidly grown in popularity and reputation, and now attracts around two million visitors a year. The center is comprised of over three floors and has lots of hands-on exhibits covering several subjects including the human body, science, space exploration and international cultures.
The center also has a planetarium and an under fives’ zone, with all exhibits in English and Arabic. Children’s City is located within the beautiful surroundings of Creekside Park, close to the city center.
The Dubai-based Children’s City is the first educational city in the UAE devoted to children between the ages of two and fifteen years old. Here they can investigate, explore, play, discover, and learn about the world we live in.
The City is specially designed so that children can interact and discover subjects together with their family or in school groups. It contains several exhibits and programs on applied sciences, nature, space exploration, the human body, local and international culture as well as a kid’s corner and a planetarium.
In addition, Children’s City presents daily educational workshops throughout the year at the different galleries or in the purpose-built halls and entertainment programmes at the Children’s City Theater for school students, children and families.
Children’s City Dubai has a 214-seat theater which presents a variety of shows catering to kids and students. Dubai’s Children’s City is renowned for its exhibitions and educational workshops that are organized specially for schools, with topics ranging from nature and space to human body and international cultures. Through these exhibits, and with kids activities, they get the chance of rediscovering the culture of Dubai.
This amusement park also provides facilities like a souvenir shop, first aid rooms, prayer rooms, etc. There are special corners for toddlers and disabled children. The City Café housed in Children’s City, Dubai is a great place to try some fast snacks or a wholesome lunch comprising the food of Dubai.
Children’s City, Dubai is open seven days a week between 9 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. On Friday’s however, the park doesn’t open until after 3 pm. Entry tickets are priced at 10 Dhs for children and 15 Dhs for adults.
